About the company Our client is a family-owned business who have been in operation for over 50 years. They have a great reputation in the market with their clients, competitors, and employees. They have a great internal culture where their employees feel empowered and valued instilling loyalty from leader to team members. They are the principal contractor on a privately owned project in Central Queensland. Currently the site is in transition from Greenfield to production increasing the requirement to support the business through growth. About the role This is a newly created role reporting to HR Superintendent. You will partner with site leadership and work closely with the maintenance team to deliver end to end HR/ER advice and support. You will be involved in policy development and embedding the HR framework as well as leading diversity and inclusion initiatives, managing the apprentices, graduate program and upskilling new managers. • Coaching leaders and supervisors in disciplinary matters and working with them to close out necessary disciplinary actions • Ability to utilise report data and identify trends to influence the people agenda and address issues • Identify emerging leaders and facilitate career development programs and engage with providers • Manage all cyclical HR initiatives, encourage engagement and support managers with processes • Ad hoc HR projects
About you Our client’s philosophy and utilisation of the HR function is that HR are very much a service to the business and not blockers. Therefore, we are seeking commercially savvy, HR generalists who are approachable and able to problem solve and think on their feet. You have a sound understanding of the investigation process and Tertiary qualifications and experience with a mixed blue/white collar workforce is ideal. Preference to those with site experience. As in any organisation there are challenges, you must be resilient and able to work with ambiguity and be solutions focused. Why move?
