About the role Due to organisational growth, our client is expanding their Safety team to support the needs of the business and to ensure the safety of their people and practices. You will report to the National Safety Manager and form part of a national multiskilled HSEQ team. You will play a key role in influencing cultural safety improvements, taking the function from a compliance to risk based and proactive approach to safety within your regional portfolio. • Conduct safety observations, assisting stakeholders to identify risks and control risk exposures • Lead and support investigations and coach managers on assessment processes • Utilise data metrics and reporting to influence key areas • Identify training needs and facilitate training and upskilling • Support/lead safety projects within your region and nationally when required
About you • To hit the ground running and to deliver the required outcomes, it is expected that you will hold relevant tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety. • You will have extensive knowledge of and experience interpreting safety legislation and regulations. • You have the ability to think strategically, innovate, evaluate needs, delivering ‘fit for purpose’ solutions, including practical tools and frameworks. • Exceptional business engagement skills to quickly establish trusted partnerships with leaders and employees. • Extensive multi-site work experience providing safety advice and support to leaders, preferably gained within mining, manufacturing, construction or similar. • Experience in implementing and imbedding behavioural transformations and culture change in the area of health and safety.
