About the role
Reporting to the CEO, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing and managing a volunteer program that directly supports frontline service delivery. Your key responsibilities include:
- Recruiting, onboarding and training volunteers; matching skills to roles.
- Building rosters and ensuring coverage that meets operational needs.
- Supporting and mentoring volunteers through coaching, recognition and engagement.
- Maintaining accurate, confidential compliance and training records.
- Contributing as part of the Senior Leadership Team and advising managers on volunteer support strategies.
- Driving continuous improvement, problem-solving challenges, and ensuring compliance with workplace legislation and safety standards
About you - Experience in volunteer coordination or workforce management within a community or service-based organisation.
- Strong organisational skills in recruitment, training, rostering and record-keeping.
- Culturally aware and able to engage respectfully with diverse communities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident with MS Office/Google/Excel Suite and comfortable using databases or volunteer management systems.
Compliance: Current driver’s licence, Working with Children (Blue Card), and National Police Check (or ability to obtain) must be obtained by commencement.
