Experienced ER Partner needed to stabilise, advise and lead complex employment matters in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
About the Company
Our client is a well-established, multi-site organisation delivering essential community-based services across Queensland. With a diverse operational footprint and a strong governance framework, the business supports a broad portfolio spanning care, support and corporate services.
Operating within a regulated environment, the organisation places significant emphasis on compliance, safety and ethical practice while maintaining a genuine commitment to people, culture and continuous improvement. Leaders are hands-on, operationally focused and value practical HR support that enables high performance while meeting legislative obligations.
This is an organisation that balances purpose with accountability — where doing the right thing matters, and where strong employment relations capability plays a critical role in sustaining culture, performance and service delivery.
About the Role
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this role will see you partnering closely with operational leaders to provide clear, pragmatic employment relations advice across a broad portfolio. You will step into a busy environment where managers require confident guidance on performance management, misconduct, grievances and general employee matters, ensuring outcomes are both compliant and commercially sound.
You will manage cases end-to-end, conduct investigations with procedural fairness and objectivity, and support leaders to navigate risk while maintaining accountability and performance standards. In addition, you will contribute to policy refinement and continuous improvement initiatives, strengthening ER capability across the organisation.
This is a hands-on advisory role suited to someone who is comfortable operating autonomously, building credibility quickly and delivering steady, solutions-focused support in a dynamic, regulated environment.
About You
You are an experienced Employee Relations practitioner who is confident operating in complex, fast-paced environments where leaders need clear, practical guidance. You have a strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and modern awards, ideally with exposure to SCHADS or other regulated award environments, and you are comfortable interpreting obligations and translating them into workable, compliant solutions. You have managed investigations end-to-end, navigated sensitive misconduct and performance matters, and understand how to balance empathy with accountability. You are confident engaging with unions or supporting employer representation in Fair Work processes where required.
You work with structure and discipline, document thoroughly, and think before you act. Most importantly, you are pragmatic and solutions-focused — someone who can step into a temporary assignment, quickly build credibility with leaders, and add immediate value without unnecessary escalation or noise.
