About the role
This is a senior Employee Relations opportunity within a large, complex and values-led organisation operating at scale. Reporting into an experienced ER leader, you’ll play a pivotal role partnering with leaders across the business to manage complex employee relations and industrial relations matters, workplace investigations and risk-based ER strategy.
You’ll be trusted to provide pragmatic, commercially sound advice across performance management, misconduct, grievances, non-work-related injuries and broader workforce matters, while also contributing to organisation-wide ER frameworks, governance and improvement initiatives. This role suits someone who enjoys operating at both strategic and operational levels and is confident navigating ambiguity, competing priorities and stakeholder expectations.
About you
You’re an experienced ER professional with a strong grounding in Australian employment legislation and industrial instruments, and you’re known for your calm, human-centred approach to complex matters. You bring credibility, sound judgement and a solutions-focused mindset, balancing legal compliance with commercial outcomes.
You’ve led or supported workplace investigations end-to-end, coached leaders through sensitive situations, and are comfortable engaging with unions, tribunals or external regulators when required. You’re collaborative by nature, confident working across HR, Safety, Payroll, Legal and leadership teams, and you use data and insights to inform better decision-making and prevent issues before they escalate.
