About the company Our client is evolving, and the HR function is actively partnering the business to enhance its performance and productivity. They are medium sized multisite, national organisation servicing the resources sector. As a business they now are focused on providing the tools and resources for HR to add value and align business needs. About the role Reporting to the HR Director and working closely with business unit executives and operational managers to deliver highly commercial HR solutions to your client group. You will act as a trusted advisor and make yourself equally accessible to the wider workforce. Beyond partnering with the business your key deliverables will include: • Management of day-to-day HR operations. • Building employee engagement through service delivery and strong relationship building skills. • Acting as the subject matter expert for IR and ER Matters. • Coaching and mentoring senior/line managers on HR best practice. • Contributing to the overall HR offering and projects.
To be successful and hit-the-ground-running, you will have considerable experience in a similar role within a blue collar, unionised environment with geographically dispersed workforces’ preference for mining and resources experience. Outstanding relationship building skills - at all levels - are essential, as well as coaching and influencing skills. You will also have a solutions-focused approach and deal with issues and change in a proactive, calm, positive and dynamic way. A proven track record in industrial and employee relations and stakeholder management will also be key to your success. Due to the dispersed workforces, you will need to be available for travel when boarder restrictions ease. Why move?
