About the Role
This Learning & Development Business Partner role sits within the People & Culture function and plays a key role in lifting capability across the business. The role combines true business partnering with hands-on instructional design, requiring someone who can both shape learning strategy and personally design learning solutions.
You’ll work closely with leaders and subject matter experts to understand capability gaps, then design and build learning programs that address those needs. This includes developing blended learning solutions across online and face-to-face formats, using tools such as Articulate (or similar), and facilitating learning where it adds value.
You’ll own learning initiatives end-to-end — from needs analysis and design through to delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement. This is not a role where design is outsourced; you’ll be actively involved in building learning that works in a fast-paced, operational environment.
About You
You’re an experienced L&D professional who operates comfortably as a partner to the business and is also confident getting hands-on with instructional design. You understand how adults learn, how to structure learning properly, and how to design content that translates into leadership capability and increase performance outcomes. You bring experience designing digital learning using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise or similar, alongside the ability to design and deliver effective face-to-face learning. You’re pragmatic, commercially minded and comfortable balancing structure with flexibility in a dynamic environment. Experience in construction, engineering or similarly complex, operational industries will be well regarded, but your ability to partner with leaders and design learning that lands is what matters most.
