Partner with leaders across either Communities (400 employees) or Corporate Services (300 employees), supporting ER, workforce chalenges & Org Change
About Wesley Mission Queensland Limited (WMQL)
WMQL is a large, established not-for-profit delivering services across aged care, disability, mental health, community services, palliative care and retirement living.
Operating across a significant multi-site footprint, WMQL supports a diverse workforce and complex service delivery environment across Queensland.
The People & Culture function plays a key role in partnering with leaders to navigate workforce challenges, strengthen capability and support performance within a highly regulated, service-driven organisation.
About the role
We are recruiting two 6-month fixed term contract People & Culture Business Partner roles; each aligned to a defined portfolio.
One role will partner with Communities, supporting approximately 300–400 employees across a diverse, operational workforce. The second will support Corporate Services, partnering with a client group of approximately 200–300 employees.
In both roles, you will provide end to end HR advisory support across the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on employee relations. This includes managing disciplinary processes, investigations, performance management and providing practical, commercially sound advice to leaders.
You will also partner with stakeholders to navigate change, strengthen team capability and contribute to broader people initiatives.
These roles sit within a collaborative People & Culture team and offer potential for extension or permanency.
About you
You are an experienced HR generalist with strong employee relations capability and confidence operating in complex, multi-site environments.
You bring a solid understanding of employment legislation, awards and industrial frameworks, and are comfortable managing investigations, performance matters and advisory support across diverse stakeholder groups.
You build credibility quickly, provide balanced and pragmatic advice, and remain calm and solutions focused on fast moving environments.
Culture fit
You are approachable, resilient and confident working in a stakeholder-heavy environment. You communicate clearly, build trust and are comfortable influencing outcomes while maintaining strong relationships.
You enjoy working as part of a collaborative team and take pride in delivering consistent, high quality support.
Why MOVE?
These roles offer the opportunity to step into a large, complex organisation where People & Culture has genuine influence.
You will benefit from strong NFP salary packaging, workplace flexibility including 2 days work from home per week, and the opportunity to partner across diverse portfolios while continuing to build your capability.
You will partner with diverse portfolios, build your business partnering capability and gain exposure to a wide range of workforce challenges, with potential for longer term opportunities.
Make your MOVE!
If this role resonates with you and you meet the criteria set out above, please apply through the link and include a Cover Letter and Resume in Word format. For more details and a confidential conversation, please call Daniela Gonçalves on 07 3556 1079.
