About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, Work Health and Safety you will join a collaborative and supportive multi-disciplinary safety team and be responsible for providing ergonomic advice and occupational support on a range of issues. This is a busy hands-on office-based role that will see you interface and work closely with operational leaders, HR, and Safety as well as external partners to ensure the safe return of impacted workers.
- Manage end to end workers’ compensation claims.
- Coach supervisor and managers on the implementation of return-to-work plans.
- Assess trends and identify areas of opportunity to further educate and reduce the risk of injury and potential claims.
- Monthly statistical reporting on claims management activities and processes.
- Provision of Ergonomic and Occupation Support.
- Lead and/or support ad hoc projects.
About you To be successful in this role you will have a strong understanding of injury management and Workers’ Compensation legislation nationally or the very least, multi state. You will have demonstrated expertise in the end-to-end case management for workers compensation claims and the development and implementation of return-to-work plans. You build relationships quickly, building trust and demonstrating empathy when dealing with your colleague’s non work-related and work-related injuries. You have strong integrity and treat each case with confidentiality. It’s expected that you have great written and verbal communication skills with the ability to report write, analyse, and communicate case status. You will be required to have or attain a QLD Blue-card, QLD Drivers licence and LCS2 check. You have a positive attitude; you’re engaging and enjoy working within a team.
