Hands-on payroll leadership role in a growing organisation, supporting finance and people teams with strong compliance, systems expertise
About the Company
Reporting to the Group Accountant, this Senior Payroll Officer role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of payroll using Employment Hero. You will oversee a weekly payroll cycle, with an upcoming transition to fortnightly payroll, and provide hands-on leadership and support to one direct report. The role plays a critical part in ensuring SCHADS Award compliance, accurate payroll processing, and strong payroll controls. You will work closely with Finance and People & Culture, acting as the escalation point for complex payroll matters, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You
You are an experienced Senior Payroll Officer or Payroll Team Leader with strong hands-on experience using Employment Hero and sound knowledge of the SCHADS Award. You bring a practical, detail-focused approach to payroll processing and compliance, combined with the ability to lead, support and develop a small team. You are confident advising stakeholders, interpreting awards and legislation, and working in a fast-paced environment. You are available to start immediately, comfortable working Monday to Friday in the office, and hold (or are willing to obtain) relevant Blue and Yellow Cards.
