About the Organisation
Our client is a large, purpose-driven organisation operating within a complex care and community environment. With a strong operational footprint and an evolving safety function, they are seeking an experienced WHS professional to step into a key temporary support role during a period of leave coverage and operational demand.
This is an opportunity to work closely with senior leadership while helping stabilise and support a busy, hands-on safety function.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Head of People & Safety, this role will provide practical operational support across a broad range of WHS activities including common law claims, notifiable incidents, stakeholder support and broader safety coordination.
You will work across both reactive and proactive safety matters, supporting leaders and helping drive practical outcomes within a fast-moving operational environment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting common law claims management
- Drafting notifiable incidents and WHS documentation
- Coordinating records and information gathering
- Assisting with operational safety matters and escalations
- Supporting occupational violence initiatives
- Working closely with leaders across the business
- Providing practical hands-on WHS guidance
About You You are a practical, operationally focused WHS professional who enjoys being close to the action. You are comfortable working within evolving environments and can confidently manage competing priorities without needing heavy structure around you.
You will bring:
- Strong operational WHS experience
- Exposure to serious incidents, reportables or claims management
- A collaborative and approachable style
- The ability to work autonomously
- Strong stakeholder engagement capability
- Experience within aged care, disability, healthcare or similar operational industries highly regarded
