This is a multifaceted role where you will utilise a variety of skills to support apprentices and trainees as they progress through their, on and off-the-job training.

About the opportunity Reporting to the Relationship Manager you will form part of a geographically dispersed team servicing the Gladstone and Central Qld region. Your client group consists of between 40 – 50 apprentices and trainees and their host employers. You will be the key point of contact for a range of service outputs. This includes working with two key stakeholders – a local cohort of apprentices and trainees who we support through to completion of their training, and clients (referred to as host employers) who develop the on-the-job skills of apprentices and trainees hosted at their workplace. Each day will be a mix of administration, client support, and employee communication. This will involve monitoring and maintaining apprenticeship records along with visiting a range of host employer work sites to support apprentices on-the-job, across numerous industries and qualifications. • Deal proactively with apprentice/trainee support needs which range from navigating on-the-job issues, juggling training commitments and managing what (for many) may be their first experience in the workforce • Organising local business activities such as Assessment Centres, Group Inductions, and scheduling of host visits • Coordinating training, rostering and WHS requirements • Assisting with general apprentice and host employer enquiries • Attending host employer work sites to support apprentice commencement, orientation, and performance matters
About you We are looking for an emotionally intelligent self-starter, with the ability to work autonomously and coordinate a geographically dispersed workforce. You will require strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to effectively engage senior leaders and lean into your ability to seek out on going business opportunities. As you are responsible for a geographically dispersed workforce you will be required to travel around the central Qld region, which can be planned and scheduled ahead of time. You may have developed your skills in different industries and varied roles, and not necessarily from within the apprenticeship training sector. We would expect that you have sound Safety knowledge and able to effectively support apprentices and trainees through their people issues. It is a requirement of the role that you be able to obtain a Working with Children card and have a valid driver’s licence. Why move?
