Lead WorkCover claims and return-to-work outcomes, driving early intervention and compliant injury management
About the Company
Our client is a large, purpose-led organisation operating across multiple sites throughout South East Queensland. With a strong community focus and diverse workforce, the organisation is committed to proactive safety management and effective injury response. The safety function forms part of a broader Safety and Risk team and is well supported by experienced leadership.
About the Role
Reporting to the Injury Management Lead, this role is focused on end-to-end WorkCover claims management, early intervention and return-to-work coordination across a multi-site environment.
You will manage claims from initial notification through to resolution, liaise with insurers and treating practitioners, coordinate rehabilitation plans and ensure compliant, timely case management. You’ll partner closely with operational leaders to support positive injury outcomes and contribute to incident review and trend analysis to reduce future risk and minimise lost time injuries.
While aligned to the broader WHS function, this role has a clear injury management and claims focus rather than generalist safety advisory responsibilities. Hybrid working arrangements are available, with strong support from an experienced Injury Management Lead and established Safety & Risk team.
About You
You bring demonstrated experience in WorkCover claims management, injury management and return-to-work coordination within a complex or multi-site organisation. You understand early intervention best practice and are confident engaging with employees, leaders, insurers and medical professionals to drive timely and compliant outcomes.
You are organised, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple cases simultaneously. You bring a practical, solutions-focused approach and understand how to balance legislative requirements with operational realities.
Experience within healthcare, community services or similarly people-focused environments will be highly regarded.
